KU SIM Strategies
In Prairie Lakes AEA, the focus of the Strategic Instruction Model (SIM), formerly KU, is to provide two types of interventions to address many of the needs of diverse learners in grades 4-12. Teacher-focused interventions are directed at how teachers think about, adapt, and present their critical content in “learner-friendly” fashion. Student-focused interventions are designed to provide the skills and strategies students need to learn the content.
